Instructions on how to get your avatar to show up in the forum:

1. Go to User CP

2. On the left hand side, under Settings & Options, click "Edit Avatar"

3. Under Custom Avatar, you have two options:

-Enter the URL to the Image:
if you were given a URL, you can paste it into this box

-Upload Image From Your Computer
if you saved your image to your computer, you can browse for the image with this box

4. Click "Save", then go back to "Edit Avatar" to see if it worked!

Instructions on how to insert an image into the body of the post:

1. First, you have to make sure you have a URL that you are getting the image from. If you saved the image to your computer, you have to upload to a photo hosting site (like Photobucket) first before you can have it appear in the forum post!

2. Click on "Post Reply"

3. Inside the posting box, find the button on the toolbar that looks like a mountain, if you hover over it, it will say "Insert Image" Click on this and another box will appear.

4. Paste the URL into this box, making sure to delete the "http://" that shows up in the box first, otherwise you will have a double "http://" and the link won't work! Then click OK

5. You will see in the posting box a code that looks like this:
[ IMG ] Your URL Here [ /IMG ] This is what you want!! You have to have the IMG code wrapped around your link in order for the image to appear in your post!

6. Click "preview post" to see if the image is showing up! If not, go back to your code and make sure you have the beginning [IMG] code and the ending [/IMG] code around your link, and you don't have a double "http://" at the beginning of the link.

Hope this helps you guys with posting images! It took me forever to figure it out myself! LOL!
