Shoe help!

Soooooo I'm in Germany. It was very hot when we go there, now not so much. And all I packed in my "immediate" luggage is flipflops. My toes are froze.

Now, I don't mind buying shoes but I'm very nervous. Last time I wore shoe shoes, I broke my foot. It still hurts a little when I put a shoe on. I'd love a shoe/boot with a little heel (1-3"), I wear mostly jeans, but I want it to be very comfortable, old lady comfortable, but hot young thing hot.

Any suggestions?
