In this lesson we are going to begin discussing the different documents used to build your family history and what can be found on each one.

Before I start this section, I feel that a reminder is needed to always double check your information. It is not unusual to find conflicting information among the documents you will find.

Information on these documents was often given by a relative, neighbor, etc. and not the person in question. Thus, the information is only as good as the memory or knowledge of the person who gave it.
