Okie Dokie here is mine, unfortunately the lightest color cardstock I had at home was yellow so it has a definite yellow hue to it. But I'll definitely be doing more of these, they are so cute and fun to do. thanks Angel

My first ever try for hybrid. I choose not to do the ribbon as I had none.

I used Corel Draw X3. After making the box as per directions, I imported the file and clipped the template to one of the other papers. I resized it to be a bit bigger and used a heart on the front with a different ribbon. This was lots of fun. I am going to make several of these and give them to my Mother-in-law and her sisters. I found a small heart shaped charm that holds two aspirin. These clip to a key chain so they can carry them any time and for our elderly aunts this could be a life saver. I am going to put them into the boxes and give them as Valentine gifts. Thanks Angel for this great project.
OK here is mine: http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio...y-4-u&cat=1145 |

I would love to know how you did that. Is it possible to do it in photoshop?

I use Corel Products - Corel Draw x3 and Paintshop Photo Pro x3 - so I am not sure how photoshop works. I could not figure out how to get the pdf file into PSP, so I imported it into Corel draw. I used the trace tool to copy the cutting and folding lines. Then I recolored it white and added in the lines. Then I resized it to fit a 12x12 by grabbing the corner buttons and pulled to the size I wanted. I saved it as a jpeg. Now I could open in PSP and use it as a template to clip to one of the other papers. I used papers and elements from the same kit. (thanks Angel, love your kit.)

Here is my box. I used a light tan paper to print on and then after scoring and prefolding inked the edges and inked the little pieces too. I wanted a little more definition on the little pieces. To soften the foleded edges I then distressed them.

Oh it turned out cute! I love to distress my edges, too.
To insert a picture from the gallery, look for Direct link at the bottom of the box with all the info about your picture. Copy the link noted there. Then here in the forum click the the little yellow image button and paste in the code you just copied: |
