November 2011 - Surprise Me!

Welcome to my Surprise Me! Challenge! Each month I will offer you a new challenge. The "surprise" is that each monthly challenge will be different.

The rules are simple:

I will offer the challenge and explain any restrictions.

You will create a layout following the stated guidelines.

You will post your layout HERE in the Surprise Me! Gallery by the last day of the month. (Don't forget to credit the designer for whichever kit you use.) Then come back and post your layout here in this thread so we can see, with a quick glance, the amazing work you have done!

All participants will receive from me a participation gift, coupon, or surprise. This will be PMd to you on the 1st or 2nd day of the month following the challenge.

In addition, theStudio offers a 10% discount on ALL of your purchases for the following month. So, if you participate this month and get a layout posted (AND post a link here in this forum), you will receive 10% off of every purchase made next month! No coupons are required. The discount will automatically be applied to your purchase. How easy is that? And YES, this is on top of any sales prices too.

Because I have been working on my new Christmas kit, I have had holiday traditions and events on my mind. One of those is not only selecting gifts for loved ones, but also wrapping them up. Sometimes it's as fun to wrap gifts as it is to shop for them!

So this months' challenge is: Scrap your favorite photo(s) of something that is "all wrapped up." In my country, this phrase can refer to anything that is complete or finished.

So you can scrap photo(s) of a wrapped gift, someone unwrapping a gift, holiday decorating that is finished, a dining room table setting - anything that is "finished" and just ready and waiting for the holiday to arrive! Or a tradition or event that is now finished... or "all wrapped up."

My participation gift for you is a Quick Page, designed by Kabra (CT member) with my newest kit, All Wrapped Up (in the store next week). I hope it gives you a head start on scrapping your own holiday events!

How are we doing? Are you finding those DARLING just-gotta-scrap photos of your kids opening their gifts? Of your favorite Christmas decorations lighting up your house? Or that to-die-for table setting that took you ALL DAY to fashion?

I scrapped my finished Christmas ornaments but since they were just sitting on a table the pictures are boring.

These are adorable! I too used to create ornaments each year. I would love the recipe for the salt dough. Super class project for the kids at school. Nice work on the felt. That stuff is hard to cut.

Oh, yes! These are very cute! I used to make felt ornaments all the time.. Oh,gosh, sewing the beads and sequins on those made my hands cramp,but they were soo cute! Love your snowman too! And if you feel comfy posting that salt-dough recipe, I'll bet there are a lot of us who would love to have it! Thanks for being the very first poster here!

Here is my contribution... Hmmmm ... should I or shouldn't I??
My daughter and I made those Christmas balls with styrofoam and squares of fabric pushed into sections all around... Mittens is in the tree checking things out!

Oh, that is soooo cute! Love the intense look on Mittens face! I used to make those styrofoam balls too! How fun to see these crafts that I have forgotten about! Very cute layout! Thanks for joining in!
