My tree is in a poorly lit area of the house, which is great for enjoying the lights, but not so good for the photos.
I opted instead to show off my favorite handmade ornament. It was 1992 and my son was 6. we were on our own and couldn't afford a big tree. I bought a little live potted tree about 2 ft tall for $10 and we decorated it with paper ornaments. I still remember how much fun my kiddo had making his 'origami' ornaments. I've made ornaments nearly every year, but that year was really special. ![]() I corrected the lighting as best I could, and added a layer with just the ornament set to soft overlay at about 60% opacity to bring out the colors better.
