January Template Challenge

Hello and welcome to the January 2012 Template Challenge!! So let me start off by wishing you all an amazing 2012!!

The rules for the challenge are:
I will provide you with a template, and your job is to use the template to create a layout! You can use the template as is, change it around, flip it, rotate it, crop it, add to it, take away from it, whatever you wish to do! When your finished with your layout, please post it to the Template Challenge Gallery & post a link back here so we can all leave you some love!

There are no restrictions on supplies, you can use whatever is in your stash to make your layout! However, with the new Layout of the Week, if you use Studio products, don't forget to add your layout to the LOTW Gallery, too! You could win $5 to theStudio PU Store!!

Also - the participation prizes have changed. We are no longer offering points for completing challenges. We are offering a 10% discount on ALL of your purchases for the following month! So, if you participate this month and get a layout posted, you will receive 10% off of every purchase made in June! No coupons required, the discount will automatically apply to your purchase(s)! And, this is on top of any/all sale prices in effect at the time of purchase!!

I had some picture I took last month and figured this template would be perfect to use them with.
These are some pictures taken on the annual Christmas craft outing with my mum and aunt.

The kit used is the Collaboration: Traditions Kit and Collection.



I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with for this months challenge.

Thank you for joining in with the challenge Marilyn Nay. Your layout turned out fabulous. What a sad story though. We have a dog, he is going to be 3 years old next month, but we have lost dogs before and I can imagine the pain you are feeling after loosing Colleen. What a shame you only got to enjoy her company for such a short time.

Could you include png files for the temp chall. in the future for those of us that don't have pse/ps and can't open psd/tiff files?

It would be really nice if you could do this . Been able to figure out ways around this in the past such as saving the files to a flash drive and having my brother open and convert them to png's for me in the past but that is not always convenient for me . If the files were already in png format it would make the challenge so much easier on those of us who do not have pse/ps.
