February Photography Challenge!

Lovely Landscapes

I love landscape photography, but to be honest, I don't get many opportunities to try it for myself. This month, let's challenge ourselves to take a really nice landscape shot - and if you live in the city, why not try an urban landscape scene? Black & white, color, traditional or creative... the choice is yours.

I have one to start off with that I took on a recent holiday, but I'll also be back with a fresh one at some point Good luck, and happy snapping!!



This photo was taken in the Blue Mountains (a couple of hours inland from Sydney) and the rock formation on the left-hand side is called the Three Sisters. I had actually just finished a grueling walk and climb across the valley floor and up the other side of the Three Sisters to the top!

Here's an image I took at sunset. This is my first attempt with HDR (high dynamic range) photography. I have never uploaded a photo before, so let's see if I can do this correctly.

Wow! This is like getting to travel while sitting in front of my computer! Beautiful shot! I've seen similar mountainous rock formations like this in Arizona but not sure they were as tall as this!

One of the north Spain beaches. It's a little older, hope this summer can go out and make more!!

This photo was taken at Lake Barrine on the Atherton Tableland in Far North Queennsland. Lake Barrine is a large crater caused by a volcanic explosion 17,000 years ago.

Here is mine- Once I scrap it, it will have both sunrise and sunset from the same place. [Just gotta turn around].

I did a page with my photo. I take many photos of these Rimrocks that rise up behind my home in Billings, Montana. They border the city to the north. Sometimes the setting sun in the west paints the Rimrocks in gold for a few minutes. This day was particularly bright.

I LOVE THIS VIEW! It was right out my hotel window in Sedona. Its a wonderful photo.

Hi everyone. Great images. I have another to share. My husband and I spent the weekend in Cape Coral to photograph Burrowing Owls. We had time to photograph the sunset our first evening there. Here's one of my images - another using HDR processing.
