March 2012 Hybrid Challenge - Tag, you're it!

Hello, ladies! My name is Karen (SnickerdoodleDesigns), and I am going to be hosting Julie's Hybrid Challenge for the months of February, March, and April. I will try to make it as fun as she has!

This month has been a month of birthday's among my friends. As I have wrapped little gifts for them, the one thing I have really enjoyed doing is making fun little tags for their presents. Tags are so much fun! They can be large, small, complicated, or simple. There are so many options! I thought it might be fun to have a Tag Party! And you are all invited!

Your challenge this month is to make the a tag. Easy, right? But what does the "You're it" part in my Challenge title mean? That means we are starting with you. What month were you born in? Take that month and use it as your tag theme. For example, I was born in April, so I could use April Showers or a Spring theme. No, you can't make it a birthday theme. That would be too easy.

If you would like, at the end of the month, we'll put all of the tags together and share them with each other. And for anyone who plays along, I will send them my All Wrapped Up Christmas Tags as a participation gift.

You will need to post your tag HERE in the Hybrid Gallery by the last day of the month. (Don't forget to credit the designer for whichever kit you use.) Then come back and post a preview of your tag here in this thread so we can see, with a quick glance, the amazing work you have done.

These are all AWESOME tags, ladies! I have left some comments for you in the gallery! At the end of the month, we'll decide how to exchange the tags. Let's see how many we can get! This sounds fun. Count me in I'm a September baby so maybe a back to school theme... I may have to adjust the size. I made it at 2x2 at 300dpi. Let me know if it's too big.

What a lovely challenge as there was no restrictions on size, shape, etc.

My birthday month is November. Most would chose to do a Thanksgiving tag - but I am a bit of a rebel...

I chose instead to do a tag with a Vintage feel to it.

I belong to a Red Hat chapter that dresses in earlier eras. I have several Victorian outfits. This would make a wonderful layout for them. I did this to show you how lovely it looks as a page layout. Also did a Quick Page so I could use it over and over again for some of the members photos, too.

I call it VICTORIAN LOVE

Seem to be having trouble doing an edit of my post, so will put it here.

I intentionally did not put a place for a hole. Some may prefer to have it in the top circle of the frame and others may prefer it in a corner. The choice is yours.

Oh, wow! What great additions, ladies. Love the Christmas tag, with the reindeer. The ribbon choice color is nice to have. The school tag is just as cute as can be - love the alpha hanging from the chain. And the Vintage tag for November works for me too! Love the tag, and what a beautiful QP it is! Thanks ladies! We're getting a nice collection. Please send your friends on over. There's still time to plump up our tag stash!

Tag making is a Good Way To Unwind.

This Tag was made using CU Items from my stash. Plus a few tricks of my own. The Wood Effect is Created Using a Atomic Cupcake Action. The Snowman is by Scrappin Cop. The Word Art is by Shades of Gina and the Snowflakes are by JTs Designs.

Here is the same tag in Metal. You can make these yourself easily by getting the Snowman from Scrappin Cop. Use the Pngs to blend color onto places you want to highlight, like his clothes.

Thank you for the two great additions! I do love the Christmas tags and thank you for giving us the option to personalize it! And the tea-pot tag is jus so sweet and delicate. Perfect for Mother's Day or birthday, as you suggested! Thanks, ladies!
