Hello and welcome back to Me, Myself and I challenge. A new month and a new theme to let us know.

April 2012: A very happy day. What was the happiest day of your life? Or what you think will be?

Simple rules:

- Scrap JUST about you
- At least a title
- Journaling (long or short)
- You Can Use Any digital items from designer. Make sure you credit your work appropriately in the MMI gallery
- Then come back to this thread and post here the link (and your LO as well) to your layout in the gallery

What a wonderful challenge this month. This was my trip of a life-time... to spend April In Paris. We were living in Cario, Egypt at the time and had an opportunity to take a week-long trip to Paris, France. As it turned out, our 35th anniversary - April 23, 1990 - happened while we were there. The Eiffel Tower was celebrating its 100th anniversary while we were visiting, too.

The blended photo in the background was taken by me - looking upward through the spring blossoms on a tree at the foot of the tower. A friend took the photo of us standing near the top of the tower looking out over Paris.



The kit used for the layout is April Promise by Annka Studio (Star Song Studio and KakleiDesigns collab) that is being released later on this month.

Edited to add: It was released this week.

This is the first of a series of layouts I am making using the photos from the Paris trip.

Ah, April in Paris... we did all those wonderful things the song brings to mind ... having coffee at the sidewalk cafe, taking a boat ride on the Seine, being rained on and loving it, seeing the Eiffel Tower, the Louve, Norte Dame, and enjoying French onion soup on top of Montemarte. What wonderful memories and now they will be scrapped.

A very happy day, indeed, was this week's tax day, but not because of getting my taxes filed, but because a brand-new baby boy was added to our son's family on that day.
