Recipe Card Challenge Gallery
* * * * * * * We’re going to do something totally different this month for the starter kit – I hope you’ll come along for the ride! Here are the instructions for this month's recipe card challenge/exchange: 1. Summer is here in my neck of the woods, bringing with it the opportunity for more outdoor, casual get-togethers with family and friends. That inspired the general theme for this month's cards, which is your favorite ”POTLUCK” recipes. This can be anything ~ salad, main dish, dessert, appetizer, soup, vegetables, breads, etc. Be creative and have fun with your cards! If you need a specific metal tag and don't have it from a previous kit, send me an e-mail and I'll make it for you. ![]() 2. In keeping with the theme, I thought it would be fun to have our cards also be a “potluck” collection instead of all from the same starter kit, so here’s the plan: Choose any of the 28 previous Recipe Card Starter kits to use; you can find them in my store. (HINT: To find these quickly, sort my store by items starting with the letter “R”). The majority of your card(s) must be made with these kits. Feel free to use pieces from multiple kits or additional CU items to enhance your cards (for example, brushes, actions, etc.). All the kits will be 25% off in June. May participants will receive a coupon code to get one kit for free. I’ve made a mini starter kit for June that includes 2 index divider cards and tags from all our previous challenges; you can find that HERE. I’ve also added two bundles to my store that include all the 2010 and 2011 cards for additional savings. 3. Design your recipe card(s) however you'd like. Include your name, forum name ~ whatever you want ~ on the card. 4. Create your original card at 6" wide X 4" tall (1800 and 1200 pixels) and save it as a 300 ppi jpeg, quality between 8 to 10. These are the print-quality cards that will be shared with all participants. You will also need to resize your card at 72 ppi to post in the gallery. WHEN FINISHED with your card(s), do the following 3 things: 1. E-mail your print-quality, 300 ppi recipe card to LetMeScrapbook@hotmail.com so it can be included in the download file at the end of the month. Do not share your print-quality card on your blogs or through any other means without my prior approval. Several participants have also asked for blank copies of the cards you design, so if you're willing to send me both (with and without the words), that would be great! 2. Upload a picture of your 72 ppi card to the Recipe Card Challenge Gallery. Please upload only your actual recipe card ~ not the blank cards. You may also post a copy of your 72 ppi (web version) on your blog if you’d like, and then include a link to the forum in case others are interested and want to participate. 3. Post a link here in this forum thread no later than June 30. At the end of the month, all participants will receive a link to download all the cards created that month. Bon appétit!!

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SHARING YOUR CARDS (will be posted as a reminder each month):
As a general rule, I will share the print-quality version (300 ppi) of the cards you create for this challenge with the other participants; they are not to be given away/shared via a download link on your blogs or through any other means. Feel free to post a picture of the web version (72 ppi) of your card on your blog. If you want, you can also include a link to the forum so others can join in and participate. Please let me know if you have any questions about this explanation or my Terms Of Use (TOU) document. |

Hi, Kathy -- and everyone else. The group discount is 10% off your purchases all month long when you participated in at least one of the previous month's challenges. It's another reward for joining in! And the real bonus: that is an additional 10% off whatever the current price is, even items that are on sale...

What a fun idea for this month's challenge. I had a hard time deciding which kit to use since I have participated in many recipe card challenges. I finally choose the very first kit that I purchased. That was in September of 2010. Gosh how time flies...I didn't realize how long it has been since I first discovered this challenge!! I love it just as much today as I did way back when I started. A big thank you to you Maurine for continuing this challenge and always creating the absolute cutest kits to work with. Here is my potluck recipe card for this month:
