HAH, I'm looking at the color chart and the theme for this week, and it finally hits me why (although I'm not participating) I am so drawn to this week's challenge!!! When I started my design lessons, we had to pick names. My designer name is Purple Moon Designs!! Now it was Purple Moon Scraps, but then I made my first piece and you know how you start off each piece with your initials---well I didn't think PMS went over very well!!!!

Tracy is not wrong
. You may absolutely put coordinating freebies on your blog and link to your mini at the store. It is not a public vote.Quote:

Gabri you're not going to embarrass yourself at all! Part of this is also to learn! We're hear to help any way we can and the courage it takes to participate in something like this should already fill you with pride in your work. So my hats off to you lady! |

Thank you - that is so sweet of you, Danielle!
I enjoyed it in any case a lot of fun! And I'm also a little proud - that's right! I'm surprised how much my little kit will be valued! That's so fantastic! |

Great 1st round kits, everyone is doing awesome work. Sure glad we don't have to vote as I think it might be next to impossible to pick just a few. Best of luck to everyone that is trying out in the contest.

These are all wonderful. WTG! I still have to finish my preview. It's a little flat.
Then I'll be adding to the whole lot. Looking forward to seeing more.

I saw this thread yesterday evening and have been thinking about it whole day at work. I toke some pictures this evening to distract and play along.
But I have 2 questions: 1. "You may add black & white if needed, no metals." What do you mean with metals? Can I extract f.e. a silver jewelry element? 2. A solid paper: is it okay when it has a pattern visible, but still in the color of the paper? 3. We can add white and black? So that means that f.e. a white cloud is allowed? Perhaps these are stupid questions, but I'm a newbie.

There are no stupid questions! Please always feel free to ask & ask some more.
answer: I mean metal styles or complete, all metal elements answer: Yes. A tone-on-tone pattern qualifies a paper as a solid answer: Not exactly. Some black & white used as accent is allowed, ie as borders or stickers or the edges of a doodle. However, primarily black (unless it is the purple black in the palette) or primarily white elements are not allowed. Quote:

Okay, I have extracted some things and one recoloring worked well, but the others come out in another color. How do you do that?

Do we have to restrict ourselves to the amount of papers? Can it be 6, I can't chose...

And is the amount of the elements and papers restricted or can there be one or two more?
The tutorial is superb by the way! |
