LOL You ladies are cracking me up
![]() PLM - check your settings in your settings panel - should be edit avatar..not 100% myself honestly. You MUST do 5 papers and 12 elements - no more, no less. And THATS killer. |

You're telling me. /sigh Deciding what to put in and what to leave out was crazy hard. I may have to make a full kit to go with this one when I put it in my store, just so I can make more things for it. LOL!

YIKES!!!! I'm sure hoping what I've done still follows the "rules" ... to me, being a color geek (actually, I'm also a computer geek ... please don't hold it against me), a solid is a hue (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hue). Depending upon the software you are using, if you bring up your "color wheel", and set the color space to HSB (Hue Saturation Black), the solid would be based on the Hue. For example, the Hue of first color in the palette for this stage of the challenge is 189 degrees. If I adjust the Saturation or even the Black level, I do get a wide range of colors, but as long as my "Hue" remains at 189 degrees (or at least VERY close to it), it's a solid.
A non-solid would be something that contains colors that deviate from the primary Hue. An easy way to approach this would be to use a pattern with two very different "Hues." Using the above example, my main color is a Hue of 189 degrees ... if I overlay this with a pattern using swatch #7 of the palette (with a Hue of 278 degrees), this would be a non-solid. I guess what I'm trying to say (or clarify in my attempt to not be TOO geeky), is that a solid is based on a color HUE ... and it's still a solid despite any deviation in the Saturation and Percentage of Black in that Hue. A non-solid is when you actually use two or more colors ... again, based on the Hue. However, in my opinion, the "Hue" really needs to change dramatically (by at least 10 degrees or more). Oh Lordy, I really did try to make this as non-geeky as possible and I have a feeling I have failed ... but I'm a visual person and have a hard time understanding things without pictures. I will try to fix this by trying to explain this visually on my blog and will post a link. Quote:

@jilbert - you are truly a computer geek, I love it! Yes, that is the technical definition of solid. However, we are going by the digital scrapbooking definition of solid, meaning a primarly solid digital paper. Not just a color definition, but a product definition.
HTH's! |

answer: I see you are done, and I also see I neglected to add "exactly" in with the elements. It does say exactly 5 papers, and the intent was for exactly 12 elements.

I have mine pretty much done. Just keeping up my preview so I can look at it periodically and change something. It's stayed up for a couple of glances now. I still need to ZIP it and put it up on 4Shared. I like that someone put there's up on DropBox. That was a great idea.

Hey everyone... I just wanted to let you know that I have uploaded several layouts from your minis. My intention is to do one for each one submitted. I am not done yet so if you don't see one for your kit, don't be sad... it's coming!
