Second Chance Contest - Week Two

Second chance contestants will be PM'd a link to download a sampler from Loucee Creation's Festival of Colour kit. The sampler is a selection chosen from the full kit.



Working with samplers, add ons and mini kits poses a challenge of giving a great overview of the smaller kit. To really show off this sampler, please use at least 1/2 of the items in the kit. There are 17 total items in your download, and we want to see at least 8 of them on your layout.

You MUST properly credit your layout, including a link to where the full Festival of Colour kit can be found in our store. You will be eliminated if you do not properly credit your layout.

Layouts for this round are due September 19 24:00pm Studio time

Here is my layout. It's called away we go. The picture is old from 1975 when my family was moving from Louisiana to Dubai, UAE.

I don't know why, but I really labored over this layout! Normally, if I spend more than 30 minutes on a layout, I wrap it up, no matter what. But this one, I just couldn't get right! Whew, it's done at least.

Here is my LO for Round 2:



Made with a sampler from the full kit Festival of Colour by LouCee Creations
Fonts: Janda Fabulous ("Joy" in the title), 39 Smooth ("pure" in the title), Bohemian Typewriter (date tag)


I think I used everything in the sampler but the gold patterned paper. Used the flowered ribbon strip to make the top frame, cut out the green paper and the flowered patterned paper for mats underneath. Beveled them all. Clipped the blue paper to the word "pure" and applied a 2 px stroke to "pure" and "Joy". Applied simulated poster effect to the photo using poster edges filter. Added drop shadows.
