Recipe Card Challenge ~ January 2013

A second one from me. I am really enjoying this. Not nearly as daunting as doing an entire layout. Iam a definite fan.. Enjoy! I serve this frequently during the winter months when we fire the brick oven in the back yard and make pizzas for a crowd. Always a big hit! Any red can be used I just happen to like zinfandels, but have used other reds. if its a dryer red feel free to up the sugars a little bit!

I sometimes add carrots to this soup if I have them on hand. I always put rice in it but since I'm the only one who loves cabbage I don't put it in the whole pot so that it doesn't get mushy. I make Minute Rice and put it in as I reheat each bowl.

Graham cracker crumbs can also be used to rim the edge of the mugs instead of toasted coconut for the coconut hot chocolate. For an alcoholic drink add some Bailey's.

This is a great kit and I wish I had more time to do more cards. I'm really LUCKY I got to do 2 this time. TY so much Maurine for these lovely kits.

I snagged this recipe from someone or somewhere I can't remember, but it is so good and I wanted to share it with you. Like I said, I LOVE O'Charlies Potato Soup! I LOVE O'Charlie's everything!

This is a little hot, so if you don't like spicy, omit the jalepeno. So good, though! I usually use more tortellini because I'm greedy. : )
