Recipe Card Challenge ~ February 2013

I am confused about making index/Divider cards. Do we make them the same size as the recipe cards or a little bit taller, so the label sticks above the other cards?

Hey, Diana. It looks like some people have made them the same size as the recipe cards/blanks (1800 x 1200) and others have made them a little taller (for example, 1800 x 1350).

Thank You. I prefer the taller size. Suppose I could add the Extra Height to the bottom, Kinda like something that could be cut off if people like the shorter card size.

One of my favourite recipes for sweet food is a 'Mars Bar Slice" I am wondering do you have Mars Bars in the US? There is little point of me doing that receipe if you cannot get the major ingredient!

When you feel better, can you check something for me? I see cupcakes on the display piece for this month's recipe challenge, but I downloaded it twice and mine has no cupcakes...all the other items are there. Hmmmmm.....I am probably just missing my brain.....

I know we've had Mars Bars here in the US in the past, but I honestly haven't paid much attention recently. I can check the next time I'm at the store.

Or -- does someone else know? I really think the answer is "yes" but I am not certain.

Thank you Maureen for all you do! I hope you get to feeling better..the flu this yr has been awful on a lot of people for some reason..thank you for the code too..can't wait to play again this month!

May I suggest to all who do join- please watch what fonts you're using on your cards- some are harder to read than others- especially for us older gals who have a hard time seeing...leaving shadows off the words helps as well..thank you!

I made these today, ---and I cheated! I wrapped the Hershey Kiss in sugar cookie dough that came in a package in the refrigerator section at the grocery. SO when I did that, the dough cooked around the Hershey Kiss, but flattened the cookie so it looks like a little pyramid instead of a pretty shaped ball like it should. You can modify this and the taste is delicious, but recommend that you take the time to create the firmer cookie dough for these.

Tips to make your favorite fonts easier to read, as taught to me by CanDesigns.
When adding a Drop Shadow use 1 px for the Distance and 1 px for the size. Any larger amount make the font Blurry for those of us who have older eyes. This also make the card easier to read when printed in economy mode.
When Using those Pretty Narrow Fonts use a 1 px Stroke in the same color as the font. This will make the font bolder and easier to see.
