I love all the layouts... everyone did an amazing job.....but when I look at a two layout together like this I can't help but think about all that will be cut off in the middle when you print it in a book.... I have mine printed & bound in a Shutterfly book.... What does everyone else do? Do you print individual pages and then stick them in sleeves and in an album or do you print them together in a bound book? Do you do the flat laying pages bound books? Just curious! I know the 2 page layout was new for lots of people, but this is generally how my personal scrapbook albums go, if I have a lot of photos from one event..... such a nice thing about digital that you can fit so many more photos on the pages.

I think it really depends on the company you use to print them.
The one i use print the 2 pages in onesheet of paper and stick them to a thicker piece of board, just like in a board book for children. That's why my layout got cluster in the middle because it's not a problem with the printing.

If it's a problem then i'll make the layout differently

Hmmm, I had not heard of that way before..... what company do you have print them?

I use Shutterfly, too! Usually, if I'm using a double page, I will adjust the pages according to the template I made for myself to reflect the bleed area for Shutterfly... if you resize everything but the background papers just a tad bit smaller, it should print out with minimal loss in the middle where it folds... I, personally, like to have some things "disappear" in the middle crease to make it more realistic... they don't usually disappear completely, because if you really look, you can see everything right up to the binding.

Example: I just posted this double yesterday - if I were to put this in a book, really the only thing I would adjust are the photos. The center crease goes down through the two words "Pirates Life", but you can see that I have photos overlapping that crease. I would resize the strip of photos on each side and push them over slightly to leave more of a gap between them when printing... that way, when I print the book, it will still look like the photos are right next to each other
