How to make mini kit?

I never have made a mini kit.Now one of the challenges suggests doing so .But how? Save each layer as a png?

Your papers/backgrounds should be saved as a jpg since there's no need for transparency. Anything else - a tag, button, etc. should be a png because the area around the item needs to be transparent.

A mini kit would contain fewer elements than a regular kit. Maybe 4-5 papers and 4-6 elements. I would consider a full kit to have at least 10 papers and that many elements and if you have ever bought one of our Mega kits they usually have at least 70 papers and a hundred elements.

I love mega kits
I do know to make a kit you need to have a preview page and a TOU.And that it is important to put designer name and kit name on each file cause people do separate kits in their browers etc.
I suppose you put your stuff in individual folders to upload to a sharing file site.
I think it would be fun to try.Just for the learning process of it all.
Maybe next color challenge I will try.
Of course making your own papers and embellishments is a challenge of it's own! Not sure I have enough skills yet for that( have some skills but kinda stopped making my own stuff when I was introduced to kits at SASY) I'm thinking I need to make all kinds of papers and embellishments myself first before thinking of making a mini kit.I love the Sasy kits cause I NEED to get my geneology and family history scrapped.I am not getting any younger.(reason for kits vs designing own) Now I am rambling on so ..Thanks for listening.

I'm thinking about it too,
we are doing great layouts,
why shouldn't we be able to try to do a mini kit??
my problem is more that i don't know how to write the tou,
maybe i could take one from a designer and copy the important parts or is that piracy?????

I'm guessing need to write own (scraplift it? from different ones to make your own terms)

Find a designer whose terms of use you agree with and ask her if you can copy. I'd be amazed if anyone refused you, especially if it was one of the designers here. I personally like the simple ones - use it any way you want, just don't take it and call it your own!
