That was a lace paper? Ooooo it worked so well! Now I need Karen's Lace styles to make lace papers to make lace flowers with Jill's actions. I so don't want to work. Just play!

I'm late to the party :-( I thought I'd add my results to the general madness. I'm not able to post attachments so please take a look at Jill's designer gallery. I did some additional experimenting.

...........oh I couldn't resist after seeing all those gorgeous flowers!! lol Now I'm off to play...be back later
just had to play...I work with PSE9 so it took a while to download the actions/styles but then they worked like a charm.
Flower 1:
SnickerdoodleDesigns> paper 17 from Forever Friends.

Flower 2:
SnickerdoodleDesigns> paper 17 from Forever Friends.
Applied Irish Lace Overlay 2 to paper before running action.
I used Jilbert's Paper Flower Action >Start file eyelet>actions 1-4. Applied custom shadow to top flower, with adjustment to erase shadow under the top flower.

Very addictive indeed!!!

No ... unfortunately ... but I can make a PSCS version that does just not the PSE version. I've done this for the Spanish and French versions. However, while I can make a version that runs in German, all the dialogs and other information will still be in English. I can typically turn this around within a day ... so if you're interested, go ahead an purchase it and send me an email (info@jilbert.org) with your order number and I'll get right on it.

OMG sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo addictive!!!!! I've got PSE11 --- I'm not using the action player though -- just loaded the action in "effects" -- its working just fine -- just click & keep following the instructions. (Am I missing something?) Btw, I see that pretty flower (Robin's?) that has the inner layer a different paper than the outer layer. How do you do that? There's no prompt to chose a second paper, the second layer is always same paper as first. Did I miss the secret handshake somewhere or what? Or did you just make a second flower from other paper & then manually add the second layer to the first flower?

And yes, I did purchase Karen's whole lace set (I'm sooooooooooooooo a fan of Karen LOLOL) & was thinking "LACE FLOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" when I saw this!

so next on my list...

I'm thinking my contribution to the color challenge this month will be a pack of paper (and lace!) flowers!

I purchased the action and it works great in my German Photoshop. It was easy to adjust, I only had to rename 1 step (I believe it was step 11)

I've been having so much fun playing with this action, that I made a pack of flowers for this month's Color Challenge (preview image is linked to the gallery, download links in the gallery). Of course I had to make my own papers first in order to make the flowers to give away, so I included the papers in the kit. As you can see, I've been having a blast with Karen's Irish Lace bundle as well! I wanted to make a transparent lace flower but found that to not be possible. Did have some interesting adventures along the way! First I tried to see if I could extract the lace overlays to have just a sheer lace paper, but when I tried to use the magic extractor tool on that, I got what looked like a very interested "burnout" lace look! So cool! Not what I was looking for, but serendipity nonetheless! Then I tried making my own "sheet" of lace -- using the lace corners, repeated & rotated & filled in the empty spaces with bows from the Irish Lace Strips. Then I tried making a flower from this sheer lace "paper" -- the problem was that I ended up with the grey of the starter behind it. Tried lowering opacity on starter, but it made the lace disappear as well. Finally I made the lace flower, with the grey background of the starter & then afterward added a brightness adjustment layer & made it brighter that way -- got a nice white lace flower that way! (You can see it as the middle layer of the tricolor flowers). All in all quite a lot of fun!!!

BTW, does the "starter" file always have to be a .psd file???? I'm just wondering cuz I always convert my .psd files to .tif format to save space. Would the action work if the starter was a .tif file? Also wondering -- since its just one layer --- why does it have to be a .psd & not just a .png????? Or would the action not work on a .png starter????

Idea! Can someone try? Because while I have the action (LOL!) I don't have the time to test it out.

I think you can do a sheer lace flower, if you have a sheer lace paper (PNG), add a bright red background then run the action. Then play with mask/color range to select & delete the bright red. There should be enough contrast to do it fairly easily & clean. Yes?
