Just got back from the gallery (and leaving some luv) and already my fingers are itching to get hold of some of those templates. As a certified Template Addict, I am really loving everything I have seen, so folks keep them coming....

You have ALL done such a great job on your templates. I am bound and determined to complete one today. It's fun and I've been working on it, but I'm not so sure I like anything I've come up with. (I'm definitely my own worst critic)

And don't feel bad Joba, you're not the only one not getting any housework done. I have to take advantage of my computer time while the boys are in school and I'm not getting much done in the way of cleaning either. If you won't tell, I won't tell!!!! ool:

My third template

I have learned something each time I made a template.As the old saying goes-practice makes perfect.Not that my templates are perfect lolol(far from it) but it does get easier as you understand better what works & what doesn't,how to replace designer graphics with shapes ,what LO's work best etc.

Oh by the way, that second tutorial I found on making templates wasn't better than the one we got referred to by Digimom. It actually was worse & didn't work.

I gave it a try and made my first Template. Done mostly by trial and error. We'll just say that the Undo command in PSP is my bestest friend! That was fun and I may be well on my way to making many more.

Okay, I have created two templates for the challenge. Hope it's okay that I created 8.5x11. I always scrap on this size since that's the largest size my printer can handle.

If you scrap on 12x12, you can still use these templates. Just select all the layers and drag all the layers to your 12x12 page, press Shift before letting go to center on page. Press Ctrl+T and resize to 9.5x12. You will have an extra 1.25 inches at the top and bottom on which to add more paper or elements.

I use this method all the time to convert 12x12 templates to 8.5x11. I resize them to 8.5x8.5, then drag to my 8.5x11 LO.

Ok I finally did one. I am so proud of myself. LOL Of course now I am going to have to make more and use more layers of elements. I just wanted to get my feet wet first.

I can't wait until the end of the month to collect these templates! I love using templates as a base for my LO's! I gather my thoughts more quickly and they make scrapping a lot faster! Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed so far!!
