Member Mega Kit Info

We hope that you will join us in creating and downloading one of the largest digital scrapbook kit ever made. Using the color palette that will be posted here on Monday September 1st at 6 p.m. members may make kits, papers, elements, brag book pages or whatever they want to share with other SAS members. You should post the preview of your designs in the Member Mega kit gallery and provide links to the downloads. All downloads must be hosted on your file sharing account (such as 4shared or sendspace.) We ask that you leave your links active until October 15th so that everyone who wants to may download your designs. If you disable your links please remove the link from your preview description.

As a consideration to fellow SAS members please follow the industry standards in all of your designs.

Papers should be 12 x 12 at 300 dpi and saved as a jpg.
All embellishments should be 300 dpi and if they have a transparent background they should be saved as a PNG.
Embellishments should be close to their normal size (i.e. buttons should be under 2” etc…)
Because some scrap-booking programs don't have the cut tool it is best if each elements is in it’s own file.
You should include your terms of use in the zip.
Many people cannot open rars so if possible compress your folders in zip format.

It is not required but it would be nice if you would name your contribution SAS Member Mega Kit or SAS MMK, and then be sure to put your name or initials to the name. By naming the kit with some consistency it will help members to keep it all together on their computers. Thanks and Enjoy! JulieO

Answers to some questions
To answer some questions in the replies, the deadline to post your contribution is September 30th and we ask that you leave them up until October 15th.

Someone asked what size the kit should be, actually that is entirely up to you, make a mini, mini kit, a mega, mega kit or anything in between, if you don’t like to make papers but love making elements just go for the elements. Whatever you want to make is what you make. Designing is a lot different than doing a layout but you all know what you like in a kit so that could be your starting point. Everyone has a different style so I think we will end up with a kit that will have many looks and can be combined in a multitude of layouts without looking the same way twice.

I can hardly wait to see what we end up with and I am really looking forward to seeing a gallery full of layouts made from this kit. Go for it Ladies!

I can't wait till 6pm so I am going to make, as soon as I finish this post ,a medalion on a chain .Should go with any color theme!!! I have a PaintShopPro tut for it is .Hope I can convert to elements6 which is what I use now..
