January 2009-My SAS-y Self Challenge

The Christmas Holidays are behind us now
let the countdown to a
memorable 2009 begin!!!!
Happy New Years

CHALLENGE: With the holidays just behind us I would like for you to create a LO of your favorite holiday scene whether it be a outdoor christmas decoration, the family chritsmas tree, the family making the traditional christmas dinner, or maybe it is the little ones waiting for dear ole Santa. The ideas are unlimited on what was your faovite this past holiday.

The challenge will run through January 30. Please use a kit from the SAS-y store (or any freebie by an SAS designer) to create your layout, post to the My SAS-y Self gallery, and come back to this forum to post a link to the gallery so we can all ooh-and-aah over what you made!

This month's posting bonus kit is called "Penguins in Love," which has some very cute penguin in them. Here's my contribution and the posting bonus for this challenge:

I am not sure how you designers manage to keep up your levels of creativity all year round - I am finding it really hard to get motivated again, but challenges like this really do help. I am not as young as I used to be ( WOW! is that an epiphany or what!) and getting through the holidays is not as easy as it once was - although it is just as much fun.

This was a tuff one because I have been making Memory Pages of my favorite CHristmas Scenes as they happened
Oh but I found some adorable Santa Hat Pictures of my DGD! That was tuff to because I just love our Santa Hat Traditon

I also had a Great Time playing with all the SASy Christmas Blog Train Kits that are now available in the SAS Store!

The Christmas Tree is my most favorite part of Christmas! I love to decorate it! Hopefully, next year, my 2 & 3 year olds will actually WANT to help me! All they wanted to do this year was pull the needles off the tree!! :p

Hi,
Here is my entry. It's not fancy, but I am still very much learning. I used the overlays from Piggy Scrap. In fact, I used two! This is my very first 12x12 one. I have a long! way to go learning how to make frames.
