Freestyle Challenge for December '08

Hello everyone! Welcome to my first challenge-hosting here at SAS-y, I'm so excited. How 'bout all of you? I've been doing a lot of work on my journaling lately. It had fallen to the wayside with my recent designing frenzy. So this months Freestyle Challenge is all about journaling. Creative Journaling that is.

I want to see LO's where the journaling jumps out at my eye. I want to see unique, I want to see creative, I want to see wordy. Now whether you actually get wordy & fill a whole page, journal a border full, or simply get creative. It's up to you.

I am attaching a link to a little freebie on 4share for you... kind of a jump start for this challenge. Unfortunately it will only be good for those of you using Photoshop, and I greatly apologize to the rest of you. It's a layered file w/text on a path. In honor of the Christmas season I choose two Christmas tree-style paths. Simply replace the "YOUR TEXT HERE" blocks w/journaling of your own & you are good to go.



Another option might be simply using creative lettering... you can look at the "prize" for one idea. I hope to see lots of you here, and lots of your LO's! Let the fun begin...

The download is on 4shared, which anyone can access. (Not that it does me any good, since I don't use photoshop, lol!) I think maybe what you can't access are the pictures that aren't showing up because they are stored in an inaccessible directory on the site. Did you click on one of the links that ends in .jpg? We can't access those.

Piggyscraps (sorry, I don't know your real name) could you fix this, please? Thank you.

There was a link to the freebie on 4shared, and now I've also linked to preview to 4share as well. Let me know if you still can't download. I had no troubles when I tested both links.

Have downloaded from 4Shared, now will just have to think very hard about what to do, I'm not a very creative journaler!!!

Okay Squealerfans, I have NO idea why some of you can & some can't see the previews (put a little call in to tech support 'cause I'm confuuzled)... in the meantime here they are off my blog:

Toiny has asked me to check this for you ladies. I got to the download fine without a problem - I just wish I had photoshop to follow the text path!!! BUT, whatever your program you can still use the templates since they're in layered format. You really don't need the previews so don't worry about those, it won't affect your challenge entry at all.

What I suggest to those of you that still can't get to it, is that you clear your cookies and temporary internet files and then give it a try. That is almost always the problem when this happens. If THAT doesn't work - now stop banging your head on your computer - shut off your firewall ONLY till you download it. Then remember to turn it right back on.

I hope this helps everyone. And now that the subject has been brought up watch for a new tutorial on how to "write" text on a path .

As far as the tiff goes I learned that in self defense. When you change program you can still open your creations if they are saved in a .tiff

Thank you for your Kind Words about our Big Yellow Buds. We have had them both for over 20 years and they love us Dearly and we Spoil them accordingly. Although they may come in the garage to visit from time to time. They don't fit on our laps LOL. They prefer a big bed of Green Grass and a cuddle Thank God LOL
