Default Freestyle Challenge for January '09

Happy New Year!!!! I hope everyone had a safe & funtastic night... and is ready to jump in on another round of SAS-y challenges. Make sure you join in each & every challenge to get all the PB (posting bonus) goodies, because, together, the SAS-y designers have made a truly fantabulous kit this go around!

I cannot ooh & aah enough over all the Penguins in Love PB's created by our team. Just completely, totally adorable. Now, if all that gooey praising doesn't suck you, let's see if this months Freestyle Challenge, complete with a Freebie starter, doesn't rev your engines.

This month I'm looking for out-of-the-box, creative, center-stage FRAMING. To be honest, LOL, I'm looking for ideas. I've got 6 kiddo's and never a good picture of all 6 together (someone is always, always making a goofy face. Kids.) So show me what you've got, frame 1, 2 or 6 pictures on a LO. Be as creative as you can get!

For those of you a little stumped (ahem, like me, ahem) I've got a little freebie to get you going. A 6 picture cluster frame that coordinates beautifully with my Penguins in Love PB that every single particpant will receive at the end of the month.

The freebie, click here or on the preview or visit my blog!

Well, here's mine:

I wasn't sure what you meant by creative so I dressed up plain frames. I thought I might do another one if that's okay? I noticed some forums say posting more than once is okay, so I wasn't sure if that's a no-no here??

Tex! I like the multiple framed pics on a page look. Yes, it totally qualifies as creative framing. I'm looking for anything other than just a frame on a page. So whether it's multiple framed pics, cluster frames, layered frames, frames missing the picture, or blended effects... it all works!

Keep 'em coming guys!

I did one as well, I layered my frames using mostly the PB kit:

Yikes - six kids - how do you find time to scrap, much less design . . . LOVED that six-part frame you made and had to use it:

Slumber Party

Thanks for another fun challenge!

Hugs,
Kate

Woooooooohooooooooooo! Some simply fabulous LO's ladies! Y'all are giving me some excellent inspiration. It's amazing the different turns people take when given the same challenge. That's one of the things I'm really loving about these challenges!

Keep 'em coming!!!

Thanks for the compliment! I just saw Jan use it for one photo... cool effect. I made it so that all 6 of my kids would look good on one page, LOL, but now I'm looking for the perfect pic to copy her idea.

Again, keep it up ladies! I'm loving the end results!!! I've got a ton of ideas. So little time, so much to scrap...

i see why its a challenge. it took me a few tries to get the pics into the multi-frame. i am new to digi-scrpbkg and still struggling a bit.

please let me know if i have done what was needed for the challenge. i want to participate, but only if i am doing this correctly.

thanks

Here is Sweethearts. It's not quite the lo I envisioned when I read this challenge. I wanted to do this lo as an out of bounds lo... but the photos just wouldn't work the way I wanted them to.

You did wonderful! Excellent job on the LO, I love, love the colors you used. Absolutely it qualifies. Welcome aboard. This is a lovely group & a great place to learn. The challenges especially help you try new things, as well as build your scrappin' stash.

As part of the challenge we do ask that you post them in the gallery associated with each challenge. Don't worry! Galleries are still free and relatively easy to use. Let me know if you have any problems. The gallery for the freestyle challenge can be found here:

http://www.stoneaccentsstudioforum.c...ry.php?cat=630

Again, welcome! And I will pm you the Posting Bonus.
