Default Defog your photos in Photoshop

Hi! I don't know if any of you know about this, but I just saw it on someone's blog a few days ago, and I think it's pretty cool!! For the life of me, I cannot remember whose blog it was (random browsing), but I thank them very, very much for the tip! It's a very simple way to "defog" your photos and make them pop!

In Photoshop:
Go to Filters>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask and enter these values:
Amount=20
Radius=60
Threshold=0

I have PSE5, and my Unsharp Mask function is under the Enhance menu, in case anyone needs help in finding it!

Here are two examples: (photos are of my daughter, Trinity)

It's not a dramatic change, but it brightens up the colors and makes your photo look more crisp! Hope someone finds this useful, because I sure did!

Great tip!
Sometimes, when I have to magnify a photo because the subject is very distant, I also use filters>sharpen> sharpen. sometimes it looks horrible, but some pictures come out razor sharp and crystal clear this way.

Love this lesson for starting my Photo Design with the fog gone! My settings, are a little different; but, not enough to mention here, because they are so close to yours!
Great tip everyone who uses Digital Camera should all do!
Thanks again

Sandi
