Default Progressive Scrap - JW Digi Style

Hello! I hope some of you will play along with me and my style of progressive scrap! You can jump in anytime, even if most of the directions are already posted, just finish up by the deadline!

I do my progressive scrap rather like a speed scrap in slow motion! I'll give you seven steps over the next week, one each day for you to create a beautiful layout! I'll even ask for you to post your layouts "mid-stream" for an extra treat!

Everyone who completes the challenge (you'll have until next Sunday at 11:59pm EST to post layouts) will get a little giftie from me! I'll keep this main post updated, and I'll also reply and post the new step each day! Are you ready!

1) Get out 3 papers and 3 photos. Use one paper as your background and cut the other two papers into shapes (circles, squares, rectangles, triangle, even more unusual shapes are fine). Next step is tomorrow!

2) Take those two shapes and place them in about the middle of your background, and arrange the 3 photos over them! Also find a fastener or two to "attach" things.

Step 3) Greenery time. Add some greenery - leaves, branches - but NOT FLOWERS! to your layout in anyway you'd like.

After this step, post your in progress layout. There is a Guest Designer Challenge gallery, and also come back and share here in this thread!

Step 4) Buttons - I'd like to see at least 3 buttons on your layout (brads are fine too).

Step 5) I want some trim - ribbons, lace, whatever. Put them behind your pics and orient them horizontally - 3 different pieces - you can repeat them, but thee different pieces!

Step 6) Title time. Create a title that combines a font and an alpha (or more than one font and alpha) in any way you'd like. Be creative!

Step 7) Date or caption the layout and add any journaling you want. (Journaling is optional.)

Make sure you have all your drop shadows and make any final adjustments you'd like!

Can't wait to see what you do!

Get your final layouts posted by 11:59pm EST on Sunday night!

Sounds like fun. I'll give it a go tomorrow.
One question though, being a dutchie, I don't realy know what you mean with post your layouts "mid-stream".
So are we to post our pages everyday, or only the final page at the end?
Believe that's two questions, LOL

I will ask once in the middle of the seven steps for you to post your layout (I'll clearly tell you when), and then at the end will post again - so just twice total! Hope that helps!

OK, time for step 2!

Take those two shapes and place them in about the middle of your background, and arrange the 3 photos over them! Also find a fastener or two to "attach" things.

It's Monday and time for step 3!

Step 3) Greenery time. Add some greenery - leaves, branches - but NOT FLOWERS! to your layout in anyway you'd like.

After this step, post your in progress layout. There is a Guest Designer Challenge gallery, and also come back and share here in this thread!

OK, here is what I have so far! Kit is mine - Spring Boheme. This is my niece at her high school graduation last year! Love the picture with her parents - they divorced when she was 3, so this is a very happy picture for her together with them.

Remember, you can jump in any time right up until the deadline for this challenge, even if you don't get to post the in progress one!
