August 2010 Clutter It Challenge

Before I talk about August's Clutter It Challenge, I want to send out a HUGE "thank you" to my dear friend Sherah of Skrapper Digitals for hosting this challenge while I was on a leave of absence. Big hugs to you, my friend. You are awesome!

I'm back and ready with a new Clutter It Starter Page for you to use in this month's challenge. This month's page was made using my Summer Vacation mini-kit, but it's generic enough to use with any theme. It's playful and whimsical and I hope you have fun with it.

Take a look at this month's starter page:



You may do whatever you like to this basic page, but you must alter it somehow - add a few elements to it, flip it, rotate it, recolor it or do whatever you want. You decide what elements to add to transform my basic template into YOUR own page.

Rules:

1. You can use digital items from any designer... no restrictions! Make sure you credit appropriately in the gallery. If you're new to posting in online galleries, the credit line should say something like, "Kit used is Aquarium Friends by PiggyScraps".

2. When you're finished, add it to the Clutter It Challenge gallery. Then come back to this forum to post a link to the gallery, so we can all ooh-and-aah over what you've made!

The Digital Scrapbooking Studio offers a point system as your "reward" for participating. This will allow you to save money in the store.

• Each challenge offers each participant 10 points for the first LO, 5 points for each additional LO.
• If a participant completes all challenges in one month, she earns a 100 point BONUS.
• 100 points = $1 to the store.
• Points may be redeemed at any time. Send Toiny (Piggyscraps) or any Admin at the Studio a private message.

Hi, I'm new to the challenges here so sorry if this sounds stupid. But reading this, it appears one must complete 19 LOs to earn $1.00 off at the store (100 points)?

1st LO = 10 points, leaving 90 points to be earned at 5 points per LO
18 LOs x 5 points each = 90 points
1+ 18 LOs = 10 + 90 points
Therefore 19 LOs = 100 points

Is that right??

Littlemelch,
It is 10 points for the first layout in each challenge. And then 5 more points for everytime you do a second page for the same challenge.
So, if there are 10 challenges in a month and you do 1 page for them all, you would get 100 points. Plus you get the 100 point bonus for finishing all challenges. So, that would be 200 points for the month ($2).
Does this make sense?

Oh ladies, I'm so sorry for this problem! (And a huge THANK YOU to Nani for sending me an email to flag me on this issue.) I will figure out what's wrong and fix the link right away. If I need to I will just upload the file to 4shared. I sincerely apologize and thank you so much for your patience!
