What size and resolution do you use for the gallery?

I resize to 4X4 and 72 resolution.But I have noticed my photos in the gallery are smaller than some of the others.

Yep that's a little small. Try 72 DPI but make the image 500X500 pixels per inch, you should be up to par then. Remember if you are using the "Save to Web" feature to try and not let your image get any larger than around 100 - 125 kb since most Galleries don't allow anything larger.
