ISO...damask overlays tutorials

so i am have become a total damask overlay junky! i have to know how you talented ladies do it! i would love some kind of direction! i use paint shop pro x2. do you guys make you own shapes from scratch and then turn them into patterns?

hmm tutorials for making one from scratch aren't abundant but I would think you could create one from using shapes and constructing a damask swirly pattern using foliage, flower and flourish shapes. As long as the shapes are cu you are good to go

then once you have your damask piece, you can make it into a seamless pattern and wallpaper your kits with it

that's what i was thinking too...some of the overlays i have are just amazing and i am intimidated...LOL.
