We end up with duplicate recipes on months when the theme is much broader than this one; I expect there will be several duplicates this month, and that's totally OK. Even when the recipe is the same, the cards are always so different and unique. You did a great job! : )

It's so funny when I look at how small the first starter kits were for this challenge and how they've grown. Even when they were small, the cards were terrific. These days, I always want to add "just one more thing" -- which quickly becomes several! I watch what is used each month to see what seems to be used vs. what never/rarely is, and I use that information for the next month's contents. My goal really is to make these a bit smaller again and really focus in on what you want/need.
What's my point? I'd love to hear your constructive feedback (here or a separate e-mail message) on what you like, don't care for, wish I'd include, etc. This month, I added some lightly patterned papers to give an "in-between" the solids and regular patterned papers, and it looks like several people are using those, so I'll probably include them in some/all future kits. Would you rather have those or fully-patterned papers? Your feedback on the starter kits is always welcome... Last edited by Maurine Stettler; 08-10-2011 at 02:49 PM. |

That's OK. I just love your card. I never thought of using the apron like that. Love it. Rose |

Here is my entry into into the Aug challenge. It is a recipe from a friend that is very good. How can you go wrong with anything with chocolate in it.

Here is a canning recipe for Zucchini Relish. I rarely make 'recipes' for canning....I basically can single items.
Here is the card and the gallery link. THANKS so much. |

Oh, these look so wonderful. I can hardly wait until the end of the month. Mine didn't say so, but I would use a water bath to seal the lids.

Love this month's theme. I don't do much canning but I remember doing it with my mom when I was growing up. Brings back great memories!

While I have never canned anything in my life, I have used Canning jars to make food gifts on many occasions. It's a bit of a stretch for the topic this month but...it's all I've got. These two recipes were big hits with the recipients in the past.

Don't can and don't use many canned foods, so just made a card with freezing hints.

I was going to say that I'd like to participate, but I don't can. Then I read the original post more carefully and saw that I can use anything that uses a "canned" product.....THAT I can do! Looking forward to getting involved in this as I just moved into a new house and I love having an open kitchen so I'm enjoying cooking again.
