Hi there,
Everybody settled down from all the birthday events? Did you remember to check out the designer and lay-out challenges? If you haven't yet, please take the time to do that..... and leave some love. Now, on to the challenge this month...... I thought, and thought, and thoughts some more, debating halloween traditions, recipes that signal that winter is on its way, and decided on..... none of the above! LOL. (Honestly, who didn't see that coming?) I decided on a 5 year span. Anything you come up with is fine. Doesn't have to be you (probably won't) but it HAS to involve somebody in your family tree. As always, I request that you use a designer from our Studio, but it is not required. I keep forgetting to ask to put you layouts in the gallery and link back here..... |

I haven't' done one of this type before. Are you saying you want pics from 1925-1930 in the layout? I'm assuming so or did you mean any five year period? I'm a bit dense this morning.

It's up to you if you want to add pictures, or just do journaling, but the page has to cover something within the timeperiod of 1925-1930. The subject can be anything (family home, first car, family vacation, an event that somebody went to, reunion etc), anybody ( or several somebodies) in your family tree or a combination of the 2.
the main thing to remember is - it has to be between 1925 and 1930 - it has to be family related - you have fun with finding new ways to add to your knowledge of your family Those are the only rules for this challenge ![]() Does that explain it a little better? Hope to see you in the gallery! |

That's fine. As long as it is within that timeframe, just tell the who, where and/or why and I'm happy :-)

I found the gallery. Hooray. This was from July 1926 and originally torn almost in half. Its not fully together but as good as it is going to get I think. My family is from VA and this was at "The Pocket Farm" on the occasion of my Great,Great, Great Grandmother's 90th birthday. She died almost a year later, five days short of being 91. The man on the far left was my Great, Great Grandfather- her son in law. the 3rd man on the left was my Great Grandfather, who oddly looks older than his father. My Great Grandfather was one of 21 children, all of whom lived until at least age 40. They were a bit spread out so my mother's great aunt and uncle, the two youngest of the 21, were younger than she. It made for great parties when I was a kid but keeping generations straight becomes a lot more difficult. Add in my Great Grandmother's father was one of 23 children, 22 of whom lived to old age, well, life can get difficult. LOL
