Just wanted to double check, if I use a gradient on a paper but only put texture on it, not pattern, that's considered a solid, right?

Not sure what system you are using but the basic is:
C: > Program Files > Adobe > Photoshop Elements # > Presets > Color Swatches

Then you should be able to open it in PSE via the Swatch window. Hope this helps!
you can also just drag and drop it into CS.

Thanks Kimberkatt for clarify that re the using papers to make elements, that's what I thought but just wanted to be on the safe side ...one thing I find annoying when buying a kit is the duplication of many elements just in diff colours or with/without shadows...most annoying to buy a kit with say 20 elements only to find 10 are the same as

You are most welcome! I have to agree, duplicated, recolored elements are a turn off from purchasing... freebies are one thing, but if I'm paying I would skip over the kits with duplicated/recolored items

Actually, using your papers to create your elements is a great way to add cohesion to your kit!

BTW, everything I know about design is thanks to Sherah (SKrapper Digitals) and her Digi Design Academy program and all of the wonderfully supportive and informative designers here at theStudio! This really is one fantastic team of ladies!!

Not sure if this was answered for you or not but if you look at Toiny's first post where she outlines the specifications of the round 1 challenge she says:

... so that would mean, all in one.

Now that I have my submission in are we allowed to blog about it and offer a freebie to draw the public in to download it?

Absolutely! This is a great opportunity for digiland to get to know you as a Designer. Blogging & freebies will not affect the judging because it is only the Design & Admin Team onsite that will be voting. Go for it.

I've updated the FAQ's, Questions & Answers. Please let me know if I missed one, or if you have an entirely new question! I know the first round is always the most nerve-wracking. We are here to help make it less so.
