LOL!Apparently my computer hadn't caught up with the posting lol! I actually have CS5 Extended. but you have something completely different. as long as the files are .jpg/.jpeg and .png shouldn't matter the program they were created in as it was stated you could use any design program.

no that should be fine hun, as long as you have that basic palette in the kit it's fine

I use Photoshop cs5 extended too, and all the photoshop brushes, styles, patterns etc should work in it. I know I haven't come across anything that doesn't work in mine.

question about content of elements... i'm using labels with different sayings on them - does each label count as 1 element or are they collectively 1 element?

for example, label 1 says "ABC", label 2 says "DEF", etc ... 1 element or 2?

When I do wordstrips etc, I usually just count them as one element. Same if I have the same/similar flower in different colors, or any other element that has only been re-colored (or provided in original colors but very similar in style ).

I'm guessing that will be how Toiny will go, but maybe Tracy or another admin can confirm?

Based on Toiny's answer to a previous question, I will take the initiative to say those are each 1 element since they are different. She said, previously, that each word art would be one element....sorry

Fair enough! I guess we all have different ideas on counting our elements, that's why it pays to ask!

I think she's being a little stricter on this round, since a requirement is 10 elements. We want to see your best 10 elements and not 20 elements that are virtually identical....

i am having so much fun making my own stuff and extracting and scanning..heehee! can't wait to show you all!!!..one question though! I always have problems with this..let's say i want to cut out an oval shape an no matter what i use the oval shape or making an oval with the pen and selecting it then using it to cut out i always get jaggies..please help??? any suggestions

Toiny addressed a similar question I've quoted her below. I would say they are counted as 1 element each, she doesn't want more than 10 png elements

It is exactly 10. On this round we are being picky. Please leave it out. I'm sorry.

Carmen try using a mask with a feather of about 1 pixel. Or hand brushing the mask to soften the edges. Jaggies are a real pain!!! I know how you feel
