Leaving The Nest Mini Kit by Studio 4
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein (poem)
Journal:
On the last day of second grade my son’s favorite teacher, Mrs. Burns, read this poem to the class. It made me cry, because she talked to them about the sacrifices their parents and teachers made so that they could learn and grow. It seems like just yesterday,! My son will graduate from college at the end of this year. I am so proud of him. Yet, I keep thinking back and remembering those precious moments with him.
Like when Mrs. Burns read this poem to little
upturned innocent faces listening intently to the lesson of sacrificial love.
