We went to see Rush in concert, The Time Machine tour. It kinda was like that, a stroll back to when we were all, band and audience, a bit younger! No cameras at the show, but I did get a couple of fuzzy shots that are a nice small corner of a layout done mainly for the journaling!

It was a fun night a postponed week later than the tickets said, but worth the little extra wait! Rush wasn’t an acrobatic concert band to begin with, so no real fear of the disappointment Night Ranger was many years after their prime. In fact, Rush seems to have harnessed their age and uses it to their advantage with a few “we’re old” jokes and a multimedia show that is just incredible! Geddy Lee can still hit all the notes, Alex Lifeson can still smoke a guitar solo and Neil Peart still just goes into a trance and melds into his huge kit during the drum solo!
The night was also a first for me – my first set of concert SOCKS! When we went to peruse the T-shirt stand I was hoping they’d have a Rush coffee mug to sit with my Genesis one. No coffee mugs, but they had three pairs of socks, how Nani! The price was listed as $20 and I really was ready to pay that for the grey and black stripey pair. Fortunately, I didn’t have to seriously rethink my sanity. The socks were a set of three, not choice from three! Still, any one pair of those socks become the second most expensive socks I own after my Cabela’s wool ones. But they are very cool socks!
