Wonderful layout. Very meaningful journaling that goes beautifully with the picture and layout. I love it. Good luck.
and it took the teachers four years to finally decide to test my grandson who was falling behind more and more each year. They found he was dyslectic, but it's too late because he's given up and refuses to try anymore. We need to get the uncaring teachers out of the school system.

Isn't that just awfull and it's always the child who pays in the end. Your so right that uncaring teachers shouldn't teach our kids!!!
Hope your grandson wil find the curage somewhere to give it another try, he is so much worth it!!

I can completely relate to this my son had the same issue. But, I never gave up in helping my son and did all the research i could to support him and get him the help he needed. He is still behind but doing so much better. I am so glad to hear that things are getting better for you to. You did all you could do to help him and you should be proud of yourself for that. Hugs Awesome layout to i love it

Lovely page and great job on the journalling hun, thanks for joining in again this week
Good on you Jeanette for sticking with it and not backing down, some teachers can be bullies!! So glad Rick is getting help, some of the most famous and successful people had problems through dyslexia at school when they were younger.

This LO is jus t awesome, and the journalling is fantastic. My son does not have dyslexia, but the two friends I have who have dyslexic children are both teachers - one is homeschooling her daughters - one w/dyslexia, other w/autism - and the other is a reading tutor, works with dyslexic students, young and old. They live on opposite coasts of the US and do not know each other, but both have told me about a book called The Gift of Dyslexia, I believe it's called (Sorry, don't know the author. This was several years ago, and I have an awful memory for details, so that I even remember the book gives you an idea of the glowing reviews they gave me!). It evidently looks at the condition from a different perspective, and points out the strengths and learning possibilities of this type of student. Perhaps it could help you and his teacher!

Defently feel your pain! My son is 15, and still has problems. No matter how much he reads (which is like pulling teeth unless he really likes the book) it is a struggle. He still doesn't have his permits due to having to read the book and take the test. He will be 16, in Feb.
SO hang in there! And now he isn't the only one out there!
Also
LOVE the layout!!! Good Luck!

What a wonderful caring LO, it is a real shame when teachers truly don't recognize that something is going wrong with a student and fail to help get the support that they need---and then blame the parents. It make me angry, your son should not have been made to feel that way,and then learn to hate school and no one else's child should either. The more we as parents speak out, hopefully someday in the future we won't have to hear these stories anymore.
now onto the layout istself, love the extraction and placement of his pic into the frames, again a wonderful LO.

Definitely a "from the heart" page. Great job and hopefully in time the "good" teachers work will overshadow the memories of the bad.
