Mahala Rodgers Rogers & six of her children on her 92nd Birthday: May, 1910, Yell County, Arkansas

Mahala Amelia Rodgers was born 14 May 1818 in Tennessee, and lived to be 92, dying 17 Sep 1910 in Paris, Logan, Arkansas. She married Edly Henry Rogers in 1835, and they raised 11 children to adulthood. Her son, Thomas Jefferson Rogers and his wife Nancy (at left) were Gordon’s great-great grandparents. Jeff was a farmer and miller like his father. Mahala is pictured on the far left in younger days.
