Journaling reads "August 1998. The house is Boston is sold and we’re all ready to move into the RV and travel until we figure out where we want to live when really retired. Werner was demonstrating the slide to someone and forgot that the hatch doors were open. Ouch - off to Taunton to the RV dealer for new parts to fix it. Next day, coming out of the toll booth on the New York State Thruway, the tow dolly tire hit the curb. Time out to replace a tire and learn an important lesson - we need a spare for the dolly. Next day, looking for the new laptop computer - and realizing that I’d inadvertently put it into storage with the rest of our belongings. Another ouch and a big bill coming from the moving company to find it and get it to us. Each time we had one of these “disasters” we reacted by saying something that has now become somewhat of a mantra. We can handle these little things, maybe with a frown rather than a smile, but we won’t let them spoil our day."

Thank you for sharing this story! I think I totally love that mantra. It's important to remember that in the big picture called life we will always have little blotchy moments, but the picture itself is only more beautiful from the imperfect moments
