Lost In Teenage Space

Lost In Teenage Space

I used "Black Holes" by Nibble Skribbles (which can be found here: https://www.digitalscrapbookingstudi...ducts_id=10728) for this layout of my son. The only changes I made were resizing, rotating, changing the blend mode of the star scatter, and burning the edges of some of the papers and ribbons.

Journaling reads:

I can’t say I wasn’t warned. Over and

over I heard the horror stories of having

a teenager. I would smile and say, “Giles

will be different.” Boy, was I naive. I

figured his High-Funcationing Autism would

keep him from some of the typical behaviors.

Months before he hit thirteen though, the

attitude started. Then it was the appetite.

May I just say, I really don’t know where he’s

putting all this food, but it’s almost obscene

how much food he goes through in a day.

Of course, he’s also growing like a weed

and happy to show me that he’s taller than

me now.

I admit it, I was warned and I ignored the

warnings. I’m officially Lost In Teenage

Space and I want to get out.

I just love this layout! The paper piecing, ribbon and ric rac beneath the angled photo look terrific. Your journaling is fantastic! I have a boy child, and I can totally relate to the eating issue. Your title is so creative. Awesome job on the challenge.

Love, love this LO. Use of paper strips and ribbons, title, and journaling are awesome.

As an aside, one day he will turn thirty, decide to get married, and become the child you wanted to raise!

Love this LO for so many reasons - the journaling for one, hits close to home. And the design is charming with the stars stacked on the ribbons and I really like how you scaled down the elements, contrasted next to the title, it really lets the the title shine.

Great job!

Good luck!
