anneofalamo theStudio Artist Registered: September 2008 Location: High hot desert of New Mexico! Posts: 172	My mom many years ago...I love that I was able to scan all these precious photos. This photo is exactly as it came, no action, just scanned in. My mom is doing the journaling for me as we go along for a heritage book. So the other side will have journaling about her romping around in the Maine country side! I took one of the papers (the pretty one with the flowers going down the middle) and copied just the flowers (using the magic wand)the flowers and clipped another paper to it, to go a bit lighter. Then added a small shadow to lift it off the page. I also did this with the gorgeous swirlies. the alpha is exactly the same but with a bit of a bevel, glow and burn action on it to bring it into the page. and I clipped one of the papers to the chicken wire The background paper is two of the papers in the kit blended together. Font is Times New Roman Thank you JW for such a beautiful kit Afternoon Delight, those flowers just scream, cluster me!! lol

Wow! Gorgeous LO! I haven't even unzipped the files yet to have a close up look at the kit, but from your layout I can see it's going to be fun.

Anne, my goodness, you are lightning fast! Both times you're the first LO up, and you do a fabulous job. Love your layout and the techniques you used. I just got my mom to mail me her heritage black and whites as well. Really nice to be able to preserve family history in this way. Nice job.

Love the idea of having your mom tell her stories to go with the photographs. You'll have such a precious treasure in this book! Another beautifully done page, love the repeated flower pattern and swirls, and the clustering is fantastic!

Love viewing your brain's creativity on a page. Gorgeous bg paper. The floral clusters accenting the photo atop the paper is perfect. Your photo is a treasure. How cool Mom is assisting with the journaling.
