Jounaling reads: My late husband, Frank, served in the Marines during WWII. He saw action on many islands and witnessed the deaths of many of his friends in the battles. He returned home with some physical scars and many emotional ones. I know next to nothing on what he had to endure and what he witnessed as he chose not to talk about it. He was a hero in my eyes. Thank you my darling, for helping to keep us free.
