The other day, when I was putting a new light bulb in a lamp, I realized an end of an era is dawning. My "ode" to the incandescent light bulb:

I like the dark, somber colors and how you've repeated them in the grunging frame around the lightbulb. Very interesting LO.

The layout is great, but I had to comment because of the quote! I am hating the new lighting requirements! I would love to save money and energy and the environment, but I also want to see! I use a 200 or 250 watt bulb in the lamp by the chair I use most. We have high ceilings, and I like to do cross stitch, or puzzles, or things like that while I am watching TV and I NEED LIGHT! I keep checking, but a lot of the new lights are only as bright as 100 watts!
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent, and for a great layout!

This is fabulous and so original, love the quote by Dylan Thomas, (he lived 10 miles from me) and yes I'm with catschwartz on the lights, who on earth thought they were better and we HAVE to use these awful new lights that take us back to gaslight!!!!!!!
