On Kaline’s first day home, she had her first bath to run the fleas she brought with her out of town!

Journaling reads:
Nothing is as sad as seeing a one-pound kitten soaking wet! Unless it’s seeing one-pound fleas running for their lives!
The morning after we brought Kaline home, it was time to see the vet! Dr Collisi at Meadowbrook Veterinary clinic couldn’t get over how friendly and just plain cute our rescued little girl was. She seemed to be in good health and got her first set of kitten shots. The Doctor said she was definitely feral-born and underweight for approximately 5 weeks old
She also told us that the spots of “dirt” were actually dried blood from fleabites! Our mission was a thorough bath in gentle kitten-safe shampoo and a flea topical treatment. That treatment was amazing! We actually watched the fleas almost instantly jumping off, like they were fleeing a burning building! She’s had not one flea since!
