Three years ago we had a hard time instead of a real holiday season. I didn’t even had time and money to have our New Year tree decorated... By that time my boys had a huge box of rattles they didn’t even play with. And I decided to put them on the tree. It turned out fun and safe! LOL

Seriously, I think that is a great idea. You know, the rattles I think no one should be without a tree and one really neat thing about decorating a tree is that you don't HAVE to be traditional. I decorated literally with tin foil handmade ornaments on my first tree because I was just plain too student-poor to buy anything and a Christmas tree is just an essential regardless of income
