Love at First Sight

Love at First Sight

Of course I fell in love at first sight, just a little bit, when I saw my son holding his new daughter shortly after her birth. I didn’t get to see Alex in person till she was almost three months old, but that visit sealed the deal—I was completely in love again. It was, coincidentally, Spring in Mississippi, and just as spring signals rebirth and renewal, the Spring of 2007 was a renewal of my bonds with a baby, this time my first (and so far only) grandchild. That first look every time I visit the family in Mississippi or they come to visit us is just as sweet—I love to see Alex running to give me a hug at the airport. My heart sings!

This is so beautiful. It's so dainty and delicate that the power of it sneaks up on you, but then before you know it, you're feeling the power of a grandmother's love for her grandchild. I have tears in my eyes from your journaling. Simply stunning!

A very touching LO! I like how you did the frames and then intertwined the ribbon between the two. Your clustering is perfect--not too much and not too little. Great job on the journaling!
