This is a page for my niece, Rina’s, book. She and her sister will both get a “growing up” book when the graduate high school. (They’ll turn 18 just after they leve for college, so I’m doing the gift at graduation.)

I love the fact that you enjoy chasing trains with us once in a while! Yes, it has always given you a break and a little traveling, but it was always some time we could spend together and I’ll never be tired of that!
We had some fun with trains at museums, the wooden train at the cider mill in Northville and the Thomas the Tank Engine figurine of mine you liked to play with when you were little. When I met the man who became your Uncle David, or “Uncle Jerk” as you sometimes call him with a giggling smirk, I got to see more trains and work on photographing them. I was so happy the first time we stopped to take pictures of a train with you along and you thought it was SO COOL! It was just one more thing we could sometimes share, and I love sharing with you!
