Lynn theStudio Hybrid CT Registered: July 2007 Location: Shropshire, UK Posts: 1,088	This is my layout for round 1 of the Layout Artist challenge 2011 created using the beautiful kit "Early Morning Light" by Piggyscraps. The photo of the sea was blended in using default brushes, and I also used some of the elements (the mushrooms and the leaves) to erase part of the photo. The frames around two of the photos were created from one of the papers in the kit. Fonts used: Caviar Dreams, Journal

So beautifully done. How did you use the mushrooms and leaves to erase the photo? That's so cool! :-)

Such a sentimental page, bittersweet, really, as a child moves toward independence. Beautiful, original and effective use of elements. Love it!!

love the use of elements on the photo and the journaling strikes home as my eldest has just gone back to start his third year too, but thankfully not as far away as your youngster
