Flour Sack Dresses

Flour Sack Dresses

(photos from the Internet)

I remember as a little girl in the 1940's, Daddy bringing home flour in pretty printed fabric sacks. We would get all excited as mama would decide which of us was going to get a new dress from it. The size of the fabric was 37" x 43". Mom was such an excellent seamstress that she could make us very pretty outfits. Sometime she would use 3 identical sacks to make a dress for herself.

I used Kindred Spirits kit by DeDe Smith at Digitals and Stitching by Adelina
