My flavor, well, my fall flavor anyway. Note to anyone who reads the journaling to avoid confusion. My brother is Dave and I’m married to David. Yeah, my family is still working on forgiving me for that.

Journaling:
David laughs at my “pumpkin obsession” but I know I’m not alone! A few years ago, just after my brother moved to Indianapolis, I’d stopped at a Speedway station on the way to his place in late August. To my happy surprise, they already had Pumpkin Spice Cheat-a-ccino! I got a big cup of it and had it with me when we walked in. Dave asked what I was drinking and I told him “first pumpkin spice of the season!” His eyes opened wide and he asked which Speedway had it already. Dave called it “the best coffee in the world.”

Every year since then there has been more and more pumpkin spice from flavored coffees and coffee drinks to pumpkin bread, muffins, donuts, ice cream, I even bought pumpkin fudge last month! I buy lots of canned pumpkin in fall and we Sharpie-decorate pie pumpkins for Halloween rather than carve jack-o-lanterns so I can cook them in early November for side dishes, breakfast cakes and even the taste that got it all started in the US, pumpkin pie!

On World Wide Photo Walk Day this year, October 1, Sheri & I did photos in Frankenmuth, MI. I had pumpkin pudding, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin fudge and pumpkin ice cream all in one day!
