Every two years, the World Team Figure Skating Trophy competition is held in Japan. The 2011 event was postponed until April, 2012 due to the Japanese earthquake. Six teams competed in the million dollar event. And, while Japan won the team trophy and the $200,000 top prize, U.S. ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White (seen here at the 2012 U.S. National Championships) won the gold medal in their event and helped their country to the team silver medal and $170,000.
